Support from the team that knows your site

Some of our clients have been with us since 2006, and we think that comes down to how we look after them.

We care about the sites in our hands, we pay attention to the small things, and when you get in touch you hear back from us quickly - usually within hours rather than days. We'd rather do a job properly than quickly, and over the years that shows.

Our maintenance plans cover everything from routine CMS and security updates to ongoing development work, SEO and content, and you get a direct line to the developer working on your site rather than a ticket number or an account manager who has to go and ask someone.

Your site doesn't have to be one of ours. If you've had your website built elsewhere and need reliable ongoing support, get in touch - we're happy to take a look and see how we can help. If it's something we can maintain, we'll take it on.

Most of our clients are across Harrogate, Knaresborough, Ripon, Wetherby, York, Leeds and the rest of Yorkshire, with others around the UK.

How much developer time your site needs

Which of these fits comes down to how often your site needs a developer.

A hosting plan

If your site mostly ticks along and needs the odd content change, a hosting plan covers it. Care and Care Plus include up to one or three hours of basic content changes a month alongside the hosting itself.

Ad-hoc work

If you need a developer now and then rather than every month, there's no plan to sign up to. You pay for the time each job takes, with a one-hour minimum, and we fit the work in around our plan clients.

A maintenance plan

If there's a list of jobs for your site most months - things to build, fix, change and improve - a maintenance plan gives you a set block of developer time every month, at a lower rate than ad-hoc work.

Four plans, priced by the hours you need

All prices ex VAT. Each plan is a 12-month agreement, billed monthly by Direct Debit, and the hours are there to be used in the month they're in rather than saved up for later.

Where the hours go

Plan hours are developer time, spent on whatever your site needs that month, and that includes advice on getting the most from it as well as the work itself. Not everything below will apply to every site, but this is the range.

Content and pages

New pages and posts, product information, case studies, and existing content reworked for clarity or search. New sections designed for your site as it stands, and older parts such as headers and footers brought up to date.

Fixes and development

Changes to scripts and applications, database work, and fixes when something stops behaving. From Core, custom plugins and scripts too, and on WordPress, custom admin panels and settings pages so your team can manage more of your site without asking us.

Integrations

Core and above

Payment gateways such as Stripe, PayPal and GoCardless, Rightmove and Zoopla, CRMs including HubSpot, Bullhorn and Broadbean, Autotrader, and job boards such as Indeed, Totaljobs, CV-Library and Reed. New integrations, and the existing ones kept running.

Documents and signatures

Core and above

PDFs generated from form submissions, digital signature fields, tracking so your team can see where each document has got to, and connections into PandaDoc or DocuSign.

Speed and search

Code, images and caching tuned for load times, structured data, page titles and descriptions, headings and internal linking. The same work our technical SEO service covers, done a little at a time.

Compliance and accessibility

Checks that privacy policies, cookie banners and data handling are up to date, and accessibility improvements in line with WCAG.

Updates in the background, with us keeping an eye on security

WordPress core, themes and plugins are kept up to date for security and compatibility. Where a site has custom elements, updates are timed with you so they cause as little disruption as possible. Most of this happens behind the scenes, and you hear from us about the changes that matter or anything critical.

On Core and above the plan also covers the hands-on security work: traffic watched for anything out of place, suspicious addresses checked and blocked through Cloudflare, and, on sites we host, server load read for early signs of an attack. When something does happen, dealing with it is part of the plan. Our hosting and security page explains how that monitoring works.

When requests are picked up

Plans run Monday to Thursday, 8am to 6pm. Standard requests are dealt with within one to two business days, and if something is urgent - the site down, payments failing, a security problem - we get on it the same day wherever we can. Anything sent on a Friday or over the weekend is picked up on Monday morning, and Core and above get priority response.

What ongoing support looks like from the client's side

“We've been with Wonder Media for just over two years. We brought them in initially for a complete website rebuild, and we found them responsive, helpful and efficient throughout the process. They've since been providing on-going support, and during that time we've had no complaints whatsoever, if there's an issue or if we need something amending it'll be done within a day or two - all in all, they've been excellent for our company and our members.”

“Wonder Media have done a great job updating our website and staying patient with us during a rebrand. We've worked with Adam for many years now and he's always on the ball helping us to keep things up to date. Thank you Wonder Media Team!”

What people ask about maintenance plans

We'll recommend one based on your site's complexity and how actively you use it. Lite suits a single website that needs content, fixes and small changes. If your site has integrations or custom plugins, if there's more than one site, or if it needs hands-on security work, Core is the place to start. Plus and Max cover the same ground as Core, with more hours for sites that need more time each month.

Yes. Alongside WordPress and WooCommerce we look after Shopify-connected sites, Astro sites on Cloudflare's edge network, and custom systems built in PHP and MySQL or on Node, including older code such as classic ASP. If yours is built on something else, tell us what it is and we'll take a look.

New features as well. Plan hours can go on new pages and sections, a new integration, or a custom plugin that takes a manual job off your team. Bigger pieces of work, such as a full redesign, are better quoted as a project of their own. On Lite the hours cover content, fixes and small changes, and integrations and custom development start at Core.

Yes. If your site needs more time than your plan has, moving up a plan can be arranged during the agreement.

Yes, a maintenance plan doesn't depend on where your site is hosted. We'd still recommend moving it to us: backups and server-level security then come with the hosting, and the same team looks after both your site and the server it runs on.

Let's talk about what your site needs

Tell us what's on the list for your site and how often things come up, and we'll tell you which plan fits, if any. You'll be speaking to a developer who'd be doing the work.
