Mumbler started life as a Facebook group. Harrogate Mumbler - a hyper-local parenting community sharing recommendations, advice and support - grew rapidly and organically, built entirely on word of mouth. When the community outgrew what Facebook could offer, they needed a proper home online.
We built the technical platform from scratch - a custom WordPress framework with an events calendar, personal advertisements, and a local directory for parents and carers across the Harrogate district. Mumbler's team lead the design direction and content. We look after the platform architecture, hosting infrastructure and security.
That framework now powers 16 locations across England, serving over 5.3 million page views a year to a community of more than 257,000 followers. The annual Mumbler Awards run on a custom voting system we built, and we design the awards night presentation and sponsor a category each year. It's been a proper long-term partnership.
Mumbler's internal team own the design direction, content and community. We look after the technical infrastructure - the platform, the hosting, and the security that keeps it all running.
Each new location runs on the same proven framework, hardened through Cloudflare Pro - so the team can focus on their community, not their server logs.
