Aeros TV
Our own app for Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Mac, a guide to every UK channel that opens each one in its broadcaster's app or plays it live from your aerial.
Our own app for Apple TV, iPhone, iPad and Mac, a guide to every UK channel that opens each one in its broadcaster's app or plays it live from your aerial.
On Apple TV, the UK's live channels are spread across different apps, with no one guide to them all. Aeros TV puts every channel in one place, seven days ahead, and one press takes you to what's on.
Choose a channel and it opens in its broadcaster's app, from BBC iPlayer and ITVX to Channel 4, My5 and NOW. With an HDHomeRun tuner on your home network, the channels from your aerial play in Aeros TV itself.
We designed and built it ourselves, from the app on each device to the server behind it.
We built Aeros TV for Apple TV first, then for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch and Apple Vision Pro, in one Swift and SwiftUI project with most of the code shared between them. Each device gets a layout made for it, and one purchase covers them all.
The guide for every channel, with pictures and descriptions. Jump to tonight, tomorrow or any day this week, or filter by genre.
Home puts the big programmes first, then rows for your favourite channels, entertainment, news, sport, kids and films.
Add a show and its new episodes join by themselves as they're listed, with a reminder as one starts. Episodes stay after they've been on, so you can watch them on catch-up in the broadcaster's app.
A programme's page shows every episode its app has, series by series, in BBC iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4, My5, NOW, U or discovery+. Choosing one opens it in that app, ready to play.
With an HDHomeRun, pause and rewind up to 30 minutes, skip 10 seconds, and change channel from the remote.
Everything on the children's channels right now, as big pictures, with rows for little ones and older kids.
From Blossom and Ember to a starry night sky in Seren. You can also hide the channels you never watch and put the rest in your own order.
The guide, its pictures and the catch-up lists come from our own API, running on Cloudflare's network, so every device downloads the same guide and nothing in the download says who's watching.
There's no account to create and no tracking of any kind. What people watch never leaves their devices, and their favourites, Playlist and settings stay in step through their own iCloud.
It's how we build apps for clients too, with a native app on each device and a system behind it that we build and run.
